Aton Health and GI Alliance Extend Collaboration to Accelerate Advancements in Colon Cancer Screening

KANSAS CITY, MO — November 3, 2025—Aton Health, a leader in accelerating the progress and accuracy of cancer and chronic disease observational research, has extended its collaboration with GI Alliance (GIA), the largest physician-led network for gastrointestinal care in the U.S., on new GI-focused clinical studies with 3 major biotech sponsors.

Headquartered in Southlake, TX, GIA supports practice management for over 950 independent gastroenterologists in 345 practice locations across the country. Its Clinical Research Department aims to identify treatment innovations that make therapies safer, more effective, and intuitive for the patient. With more than 160 active clinical trials, patients can have access to new advancements in GI care and treatment modalities.

“GI Alliance began working with Aton Health to ensure our clinicians had a seat at the table in the development of the future of colorectal cancer screening standard of care, says Casey Chapman, M.D., chief medical officer of GI Alliance and principal investigator for the studies.  “Today, that effort has succeeded beyond our highest expectations, grown exponentially, and has opened up important new research opportunities with new sponsors looking to apply the power of GI Alliance and Aton Health to their studies.”

“These new study opportunities are a testament to the success this collaboration has demonstrated to date,” according to Tom Sanders, CEO of Aton Health. “We began this relationship as a pilot just over three years ago and the success can be seen in the valuable insights we’ve delivered that benefit patients, healthcare providers, and biotech sponsors alike.”
